Our Wastewater Training Academy (WTA) is the newest training arm of OWEA. This initiative has been years in the making and will be a changing force in wastewater training for Ohio.
We have heard from many of you concerning the need for quality training. As a result, we created a team of wastewater professionals and developed various courses. Currently we have both an Advanced and Basic Wastewater Course. These courses are meant to create quality operators and increase their knowledge bases which will naturally lead to more success in licensure exams. They were developed using the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) Fundamentals I, II and III textbooks. Our curriculum development team of highly qualified wastewater professionals developed both of these courses by conducting a pilot and then making adjustments prior to the course. These courses are revised as new editions of the WEF Fundamentals textbooks are created. Our courses are the most up to date and student tested courses to aid in licensure available in Ohio.
